GIACENZA DI MAGAZZINO!!! The wave expansion board SRX-99 "Special Wave Expansion" is an installation board for Fantom-S and Fantom-X synthesizers, with which the supply of waveforms and preset patches can be expanded. The synthesizer can read the waveforms and patch data directly from the board so that they do not have to be copied or loaded first. The SRX-99, which Roland included free of charge as a promotional board when buying a new Fantom synthesizer, was never officially sold and served to demonstrate the possibilities offered by an expansion board. Therefore, many of the multisamples are only playable in a range limited to 16 notes. It contains no drum kits (rhythm sets), but 64 patches, whereby only the first 39 can be played across the entire keyboard width. These patches use waveforms unique to the SRX-99, the other patches are snippets from other SRX boards. The SRX-99 board is only compatible with the following 6 models: Fantom-S, Fantom-S88, Fantom-X6, Fantom-X7, Fantom-X8 and Fantom-XR.
