Up for sale, a 1999 Ibanez Universe UV777 electric seven string guitar in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This discontinued Fujigen-made Ibanez is a first year iteration of this particular Steve Vai signature model, and the Universe series represented the first mass produced seven string electric guitar models. With a Floyd Rose vibrato, an HSH pickup configuration with Dimarzio Blaze II coils, and impressive inlay and finish work, this shredder Vais for attention. Plugged in, the Blaze II pickups produce a scooped sound with a hi-fi quality, bringing forth powerful low end and well-defined highs. Balancing well on a strap at 7lbs 15oz, this UV777 has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar for accurate intonation and fast action.

The one-piece maple neck has a wide and flat D shape with moderate shoulder, lightly rolled edges, and Ibanez's signature all access neck joint. This low profile sculpted joint was first introduced on this Universe model and ensures easy access to the highest frets without the blocky construction of most bolt-on joints. The smooth satin finish on the profile feels great on the palm and the profile measures .805" deep at the 1st fret ant .910" at the 12th. The pearloid-bound rosewood fingerboard features "disappearing pyramid" fretboard inlays in pearl and abalone, and the original jumbo frets show virtually no wear with plenty of meat and well rounded crowns. The scale measures a full 25 1/2", while the stainless locking nut has a width of 1 7/8“. On the bound headstock, a stainless string tree and set of chrome Gotoh tuners accompany a flawless Ibanez logo and Universe font. NO SCAMBI !!
